Warzone players sacrifice themselves to take down voice glitchers • Eurogamer.net

Guess what’s back, back again: it’s right, it’s Call of Duty: Warzone’s infamous voice glitch, which shows no sign of silent disappearance. After appearing for the first time in October, the problem has recurred several times – and according to player reports of the past few days, it has returned. Although Raven acknowledged the return of the error and promised a solution, players again take matters into their own hands until the patch arrives. By sacrificing themselves to hunt down glitchers hiding in the gas – to the benefit of all in the foyer.

The way the voice glitch works is this: once a player has activated the glitch (apparently now using a strange night fish goggles method), they can spawn infinite tactical items, including healing stimuli. That means they can drive away in Warzone’s gas and hide there until the game ends, breaking the game in the process and making a very boring end to the round.

To prevent this from happening, some heroic players – motivated by concern for their teammates or pure unbridled anger – chase the stimulus glitchers, even if it means their own death. Some players started doing it last month, and because the bug is back, the stimulus hunters did it too. As you can see in the video below, this is often done by picking up an abundance just before a circle starts to close so that the legitimate player can locate the glitcher in the gas. In the case of one Reddit user, the start of the gas ride was accidental – but they got through the work.

I realized a little later that the abundance I had rushed into the storm was a voice glitcher. I did what needed to be done. from r / CODWarzone

In another video shared on Reddit, a player noticed a voice glitcher picking up (rather foolishly) Most Wanted contract and marking themselves on the map. This time, the legitimate player falls into the air to take out the unsuspecting stimulator, even though he is the last member alive in the group.

This one manages to spot a voice user by activating their UAV, then quickly thinks of jumping into a vehicle and hitting the voice user (who also carries a riot shield) on the floor. I think this one was definitely a case of revenge.

More unusually, some seem to fight fire with fire, using the voice glitch to look up the remaining voice glitchers at the end of a game, find their player plates, and then report it to Activision. YouTuber Animal Spence is one of those trying to defeat the glitchers on their own game, as you can from the showdown at the end of the video below. Just make sure you do not get damaged by the dark side while trying to destroy it, Animal Spence.

The Call of Duty subreddit is filled with videos of groups chasing glitchers to win – but I think there’s something particularly heroic about the players sacrificing their chances of a victory to get voters out. Or maybe it shows the degree of anger towards this harmful problem, which never seems to die.
