Warriors’ Draymond Green praises Jayson Tatum, but sandwich meat continues

The Golden State Warriors lost to the Boston Celtics on Saturday night, though their mood thereafter did not indicate a team in distress. What makes sense: The Dubs won four in a row before Boston’s return victory, largely fueled by another world-class performance by Jayson Tatum.

After dropping Tatum by 44 points, he received much praise from Golden State star Steph Curry (who himself had 47 points) and Draymond Green. The latter player could not let go of his compliments without throwing in a sandwich.

“Unbelievable [performance]”He thought it was a big boy performance from him, especially the missing Jaylen Brown. He steps up and puts those guys on his back. However, my sub is still better.”

And with that, Green gets up and walks away. The world’s most lawful microphone fall, if you will.

Green refers to his Subway sandwich rivalry with Tatum, who, if you’ve watched more than a few NBA games this year, has probably seen shrinking ads over and over and over again.

The ads feature Green and Tatum trade barbs on their respective Subway sandwiches, while also appearing to be being held hostage. It’s also not important to act everything, but now that Green is expanding his record beyond TV commercials and in the real world, his interest in eating a Subway sandwich is just as 10% more credible.

There are no winners in this fight, but Tatum is currently the Subway sandwich loser, at least until he eats a foot long at a press conference.
