Wanted man pretending to get away from COVID roommates

Yesterday, a man walked into the Burgess Hill police station in Sussex, England and turned himself in to police. The man was wanted for ‘recall to prison’, meaning the person was released from prison on parole or other conditions but must return to serve the remainder of their sentence. The revocation may be due to the breach of the conditions of their trial or the expectation that they may commit further crimes.

In this case, according to police, the man decided that “he would rather go back to jail than spend more time with the people he lives with.”

He sought “tranquility”, police inspector Darren Taylor reported in a tweet.
