Although she come from a famous show biz family, and she now plays in her own Wonder TV series after appearing in plural Avengers cartoons, Elizabeth Olsen start making indie movies, like the cult story of 2011 Martha Marcy May Marlene. So, what inspired her move from art house to multiplex?

Thoughthy, uh, obvious reasons that any actor wants to think bigger (more fame, more money, all the shiny stuff) was undoubtedly part of the comparison, Olsen specifically linked her ambitions to her love for a certain franchise from a galaxy far, far away. In an interview with Collider, she explained she told her agent and manager that she wanted to steer her career in the direction of the specific movies she enjoyed as a child.

I was mad at Star Wars. You could not peel me off Star Wars as a child. “And so I tried to figure out how to start putting it out there, because it feels like I’m really these disturbed women in independent films,” Olsen said before laughing and pointing out about Wanda, “[Now] it’s just a disturbed woman in a big franchise! ‘

Her representatives advised her to do so ‘I take meetings with the people who run these companies, and I did it literally,’ Olsen added.I met Kevin [Feige] and a few other people who worked there at the time. And then I met the people who run Legendary [the studio that produced Godzilla, Olsen’s first big blockbuster] at that point. And there were a few others in different places. ‘

Go to Collider to read (or look) the whole interview, in which Olsen also talks about what it was like to star with Aaron Taylor-Johnson in Godzilla (plays his wife) to star with Taylor-Johnson Avengers: Age of Ultron (plays his twin sister). Because you know you’ve always wondered about it!
