In addition to excitement about where WandaVision will go next, one of the more common feelings that has been in the air for the past few months is a common condition of existential fear and disillusionment caused by millions of people who need to be quarantined to combat the ongoing covid-19 pandemic.
For those still traveling to work, the material reality that they have to worry about a deadly virus in the air that makes physical spaces dangerous to other people is clear and easy to understand. But many who more or less found themselves confined to their homes months of finding similar ways in which being at home effectively means living at work.
Apart from a brief mention of Wanda’s Hex be a kind of “self-quarantine” WandaVision did not really affect our real world pandemic misery. But in a new track from the upcoming episode of the show – which will appear on Disney + tomorrow –Me. Maximoff channels too much energy which is equal parts “I can not handle today” and “YThat’s right, I slept in the same clothes last night.
Short as the clip is, all of his Modern family sensitivity to the way reality unfolds in the Maximoff household as Wanda tries to rest points out that the next episode is another important one, as everyone seems to be fully aware of what happened last week.
