WandaVision makes documentary hits of Disney Plus, get trailer

You may experience some Marvel Cinematic Universe withdrawal in the aftermath of WandaVision’s last episode, but do not lose heart. Another dose of Marvel hit Disney Plus on Friday, in the form of an essay by Assembled Documentary, to fill the void ahead of the March 19 premiere The falcon and the winter soldier.

The special looks at the concept of the program, how the crew reflects the filming methods of old school sitcoms and the challenges of performing entire episodes in front of a live studio audience. One of the funniest parts is seeing Frozen songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez on the classic sitcom themes that inspired the intro songs.

This is the first in a series of behind-the-scenes presentations, with future episodes about The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki, Black widow and Hawkeye. According to Marvel, the deliveries will fall ‘shortly after theatrical releases and series of completions’.

The Mandalorian, also the first Star Wars show on Disney Plus got documentaries behind the scenes after each season – hopefully all his big shows will get the same treatment.
