Wan’Dale Robinson will (eventually) be a Kentucky Wildcat.
Shortly after entering the transfer portal, the Frankfort native announced that he was going to take his talents to his Old Kentucky home.

About two years ago, Robinson was committed to playing for Mark Stoops in Kentucky. The Mr. Football from Western Hills High School had a change two weeks before signing day and preferred to play for Scott Frost in Nebraska instead. He made a slight turn, but Wan’Dale finally found his way to the UK thanks to the help of Stoops and Vince Marrow.
Robinson immediately fits the bill of an All-American, setting Nebraska records for receiving and receiving yards through a freshman year in 2019. He follows that up by leading the Huskers in 2020. In 20 college soccer games, Robinson reached just 2,000 yards of scrimmage and was a two-time finalist for the Paul Hornung Award, which is given each year to the country’s most versatile college soccer player.
A star of the high school, in his last football season he scored 45 hits in 11 games. Whether he is running, wide receiver, returning or playing defense, Robinson can turn any game into an attack. Now the BBN will be able to see him make plays at Kroger Field, while possibly capturing passes from a former district foe, former Catholic full-back Beau Allen.

Robinson gives Kentucky’s offense an immediate shock of explosiveness after several seasons of fighting through the air. A lock receiver who can make people miss will target Liam Coen Robinson’s offense early and regularly. One can not determine how much the addition of a major player to the offense will help the new player and new quarterback in 2021.
We’ll have a lot more on what Robinson’s return to Kentucky means for the Wildcats until the ball is kicked off this fall. Before the hype train gets completely off track, enjoy Robinson’s best work on the soccer field.
