Walt Disney World Transparent Face Cover Update Policy

Walt Disney World has updated their face covering policies to include guidelines regarding transparent face masks. Read the updated policy below:

Face covers may have an integrated transparent plastic panel to see the wearer’s mouth. These face covers should be a fabric cover that contains a solid plastic panel that does not contain any openings that are attached to the fabric on all sides. They must also meet all the requirements for face coverage for ordinary face masks.

As face masks are manufactured more widely, transparent face masks have increased in popularity, especially for people with hard of hearing and who need lips. Transparent face masks differ from a plastic face shield, which guests are only allowed to wear as long as they also wear a mask.

Walt Disney World has also just updated their policy to specify that anyone who has received a COVID-19 vaccine should still wear a face mask.
