Walt Disney World begins testing face recognition technology

ORLANDO, Fla. Walt Disney World is now testing a new face recognition technology in its Magic Kingdom theme park.

The new technology captures an image of a guest’s face and transforms it into a unique number, which is then associated with the form of access used for access to the park. Disney said on its website that the test is completely optional and limited, as guests move through the gates in the park with reservations.
