Both the Sony PS5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X / S gaming consoles will be back in stock at Walmart later today. A Walmart spokesman said The edge that the retailer will have the consoles for sale again at 11:30 PT / 14:30 ET for the Xbox Series X / S and 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET for the PS5. As usual, the stock will probably not last very long.
Walmart plans to stock the PS5, PS5 Digital Edition, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S game consoles, with prices ranging from $ 300 to $ 500, depending on the model you purchase.
If you are planning to buy a PS5 console, there are a few extra items you need to pick up to get the most out of your new console. I recommend picking up a second DualSense controller, which is required for any custom multiplayer action. I suggest early adopters also sign up for PlayStation Plus, which gives you some benefits, such as access to the PlayStation Plus collection.
No option to expand PS5’s SSD, but it’s likely to come later this year.
If you’re buying an Xbox Series X or Series S, an additional controller is probably a good buy. And unlike the PS5, you can buy a 1TB SSD expansion to contribute to the base of the Xbox (512GB on the Series S, 1TB on the X), though it’s not cheap. If you have trouble deciding which games to buy, you can always buy a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which gives you access to a bunch of digital games and access to Xbox Live Gold.
