Arizona is the least safe state during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a study analyzing data from several official sources.
States were ranked in order of safety based on the number of vaccinations, positive tests, hospitalizations, deaths, and transfers.
Our state achieved the overall safety ranking of 51 – the last place of all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
We also achieved the 51st place for the highest positive tests and the highest hospitalization rate. We have the second highest death rate, just above Alabama, and the third highest transfer rate, just above Washington and Hawaii.
The safest states based on the data are allegedly Alaska, Vermont, Colorado and Montana.
According to the study, data from the U.S. Census Bureau, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, The COVID Tracking Project, and rt.live were used, according to WalletHub.
