Wait, is Halo Infinite delayed until 2022?

Wait, is Halo Infinite about to be postponed until 2022? The new Halo game was originally scheduled to release Holiday 2020, along with the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and also via Xbox One and PC, but then it was delayed until late 2021. Since the delay, we still have not much of the game further seen not development updates. That said, the game will be released later this year, but now some players are worried that it may slip after 2022.

Over on Twitter, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier recently responded to a tweet indicating that both Halo Infinite and Starfield is on track to release this year with an ‘I do not know about it’, which of course is Halo fans a little worried. That said, if you have a Halo fan, it is not necessary to sound the alarm, at least not yet.

First, it is unclear whether Schreier’s answer only refers to both games. Halo Infinite, or not Starfield. In other words, there’s a chance it’s not even going to work. Halo Infinite. Two, it is unclear how much of this skepticism is based on things Schreier heard against his own expectations. Quite a few games have already been postponed from 2021 to 2022, and I know of at least a few more that are on course to contribute to the year of delays.

For what it’s worth, several sources – from credible to less than credible – have claimed Starfield release this year, what can make Halo Infinite the greater the chance that the two are delayed, but given that Halo Infinite was supposed to release holiday 2020, it is difficult to imagine that it would slide until 2022. Not impossible, but it would be a reasonable mistake by Microsoft and 343 Industries.

None of the above parties commented on any of the above speculations at the time of publication. That said, if it changes, we will update the story accordingly.
