Volkswagen ID 4 named World Car of the Year in 2021

The World Car Awards for 2021 were announced on Tuesday and this year’s best honor 2021 Volkswagen ID 4. The new electric crossover from VW has the Honda E and Toyota Yaris for the award for World Car of the Year, as chosen by a panel of 93 jurors from 28 countries. Of course, the World Car Awards extend beyond the overall car of the year. The winners for the categories luxury car, performance car, urban car and design of the year 2021 are as follows:

The Volkswagen ID 4 follow up on the Kia Telluride as World Car of the Year.

We are big fans of ID 4 here on Roadshow; this is a refreshingly normal use of the EV crossover formula. Easy to drive, super spacious, loaded with technology and the EPA will return an estimated 260 miles at full charge, and the ID 4 is an incredibly well-rounded electric CUV.
