Viral video shows woman doing aerobics after coup takes place

It emerges from a new video taking the internet by storm, a woman doing aerobics in Myanmar, despite a heavy military presence running after her – on the same day that the country’s army carried out a coup.

Khing Hnin Wai posted a video on Facebook on Monday in which she performs an exercise routine of about three minutes in front of a convoy of army trucks and a roadblock.

The woman – who identifies herself as a physical education teacher and has a large following on Facebook, where she regularly posts workout videos – does not skip a beat as military vehicles are seen whistling in the background behind her.

The video started on social media, with one Twitter user declaring it to be the most iconic video of the 2020s.

“Talk about a revolutionary workout,” said another.

Some questioned whether the video was legitimate, but the woman had previously posted several other clips of her front-end workouts from the same location – which she noted in a follow-up post after the original went viral.
