A U.S. post office has recovered from an attack in Flint, which took place outside an apartment complex near downtown on Thursday afternoon.
A bystander streamed the disappointment live on Facebook where it went viral. Only one person attempted to intervene in an attack on a postal worker in Flint.
FOX 2 is told that she is still quite sore and has bruises after she jumped and was taken to the emergency room.
“I worked in this industry for 29 years and it’s the first I’d seen anything like it, an active assault on a postal service while she was on duty, and doing her job,” said Flence Police Chief Terence Green.
Green says one of the women seen attacking the postal service was arrested and they have a line with the second woman.
Although the man who recorded the attack said the women were after stimulus examinations, Chief Green said it was not the altercation.
“It is being investigated as possible road rage that sparked it, but it is currently still being investigated,” he said. “But we believe it should include the anger of the road.”
Another Flint postal worker tells FOX 2 that the women thought the postal service cut them off, but that she was actually right.
They hit the truck’s truck with their car which allegedly led to and then the assault.
“Two of our detectives obtained this live stream and we must immediately, with the help of the community, give much recognition to the detectives in charge of this investigation. The two suspects seen in the viral video were immediately identified, including the vehicle. in which they traveled, ‘Green said.
FOX 2 has a statement from the law enforcement department of the post office that reads in part:
“Post inspectors are aware of the incident involving a postal service employee. In incidents like this, we are working closely with our law enforcement partners and prosecutors, in this case the Flint Police Department, the Flint County District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Attorney’s Office. solve these crimes and determine the best way to prosecute. ‘
Flint police said the women are likely to face both local and federal charges.
