If you’ve been following the NFL recently, you’ve probably noticed the fairly large trade between the Rams and the Lions.
Certain reports and rumors have suggested that Minnesota would be interested in doing the same, but Vikings fans should take those with a grain of salt.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has on the Pat McAfee Show and said something that was contrary to recent rumors (H / T Scor North). Asked about Cousins playing for the 49ers next season, Rapoport said: “I do not feel it at all.”
“I would never say something is impossible,” Rapoport said. ‘As you know, this NFL world has basically taught us that anyone can be traded. That one I would be really surprised for a few reasons. One, I’m not sure it benefits the Vikings. And I do not know that Cousins is an upgrade of Jimmy G.. If they’re both healthy and both play, are we sure Cousins is a big upgrade for all it’s going to cost? ‘
Cousins has just finished his third season with the Vikings. He started rocky, but helped the offense become a high octane in the piece. He still received a lot of contempt from Vikings fans, but with the way his contract is structured, the team seems to be sticking with him for the foreseeable future.
