A potent magnitude 7.7 earthquake shakes the Pacific Islands, specifically in the province of the Lealtad Islands.
At the moment there are no reports of deaths or victims, but a tsunami alert was issued for the entire zone.
Initially it was reported that the magnitude of the event had been 7.9, before it was revised.
The epicenter is at a distance of 10 km, according to the Geological Survey of the United States. At the moment, the situation to be determined is being evaluated if it is to be alerted to the west coast of the United States.
