Videos posted on social media showed the moment when George Floyd’s family heard that a jury in Minnesota had convicted former police officer Derek Chauvin on all charges of Floyd’s murder.
Floyd’s family is seen in a video with the legal team representing them watching Judge Peter Cahill read the verdict. The family all jumped up and rushed to the television after Chauvin’s conviction.

While Cahill read the verdict to him by the jury, another group of Floyd’s family members can be seen in a video with the head bowed. While each of the three utterances was read aloud, the relatives shouted for joy.
After reading the final verdict, they could no longer contain their excitement, with one young woman shouting, “Yes! That’s what we wanted!”

Ben Crump, the lawyer representing Floyd’s family, shared a video on Twitter of President BidenJoe Biden Obama, Clinton reflects on Mondale’s legacy Biden, Harris recommends Mondale that he paved the way for the female VP Mondale in the last message to staff: ‘Joe in the White House definitely helps’ MORE and Vice President Harris called them shortly after the verdict.
When one member asked Biden how he was doing, the president replied, “Feel better now. Nothing is going to make it all better, but there is at least a little justice now.”
“You guys were amazing. You guys are an amazing family,” Biden added.
“I’m just as grateful for the whole family. Your courage, your dedication, your strength,” Harris was heard during the phone call. “This is a day of justice in America.”

After reading the verdict, Chauvin was arrested and bail was revoked. He was led out of the courtroom with handcuffs.
