It’s no secret that Switch has chosen a large portion of Wii U’s greatest titles such as Mario Kart 8, Pikmin 3, Super Mario 3D World and many, many more … but there are still a number of games that are exclusive stay for Wii U. However, we not only wanted to highlight old games, these 13 are legally fantastic and we hope that some of them like Bayonetta 2 in the series ports will join Switch.
It ranges from obvious choices like Xenoblade Chronicles X to lesser known gems like Project Zero: Maiden or Blackwater. Wii U may not have been Nintendo’s most popular machine, but it does not appreciate how good some of its games were; numerous titles have lived a successful second life on the Switch (Mario Kart 8 considered the Switch’s best-selling game).
However, we do not exclude games that have been essentially replaced by similar iterations on Switch. These include Splatoon, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Mario Maker.
