Jerry Jeudy, wide receiver of the Broncos, had perhaps his most frustrating game in the NFL on Sunday.

The draft pick in the first round in 2020 had five drops against the LA Chargers, including two late in the first half that would help the Broncos get points on the board before halftime.

“Sometimes drops fall,” Jeudy said. ‘It just happened too many times today. This is unacceptable. ”

Jeudy’s five drops correspond to his total production during the first 15 weeks of the season. The university star from Alabama, who simply responded with ‘never’ when asked if he had ever had such a performance, only had a test twice compared to ten drops.

“I just have to make plays,” Jeudy said. “Nobody stopped me. I was open. I just have to finish. I beat myself up today. ”

The Broncos practiced 13-0 at halftime and fought back in the second half in an effort to make another comeback in the fourth quarter. After leveling the score at 16-16 with just under three minutes left, Denver gave up the winning field goal with less than a minute left. The Broncos’ three-point loss comes nearly two months after Denver rushed back to defeat the Chargers 31-30 in a game on Nov. 1 in Week 8.

The fall of Jeudy late in the second quarter could help the Broncos 2-0 against the Chargers. But despite the negativity surrounding the young player due to his poor performance, Broncos coach Vic Fangio believes Jeudy can learn from this.

“He needs to get back from it,” Fangio said. ‘It could be a decisive moment in his career. He needs to come back, practice a good week, catch a bunch of balls and then show up on Sunday if the balls are thrown at him, he will catch them. “

Jeudy and the Broncos will get another chance to jump back this season. Denver will host the Las Vegas Raiders in the final season next week.
