BOSTON – Christian Vázquez beats one iron, Xander Bogaerts scored three hits and JD Martínez connected extra bases to the seventh consecutive game to help the Boston Medias Rojas beat the 9-2 divisions to the Tampa Bay Rays, complementing the barrier of three games of the series.
Nathan Eovaldi (1-1) allowed a career, three hits and three bases for balls in siete innings, in addition to siete ponches. The Red Media, who fought Baltimore’s barriers in the inaugural series, beat the Rays, defending champions of the American League, with a combined marker of 26-9.
Ahead of the series, the Rays have won two follow-up matches at Fenway Park and 13 of the last 14.
Ryan Yarbrough (0-1), who scored 5 2/3 points without allowing him to score in his first opening this season, scored three times before Bogaerts connected a penalty shootout of a striker and scored with Vázquez’s bat in the quarter .
Boston aggregates six in the fifth – all with outs – thanks to mistakes by the Tampa defense.
Martínez is the first player of the Red Media with at least one hit of extra bases in the first six games of the season since David Ortiz started 2005 with his second.
