Vanessa Bryant called Meek Mill after a lyric in his latest song referred to her late husband, Kobe Bryant.
Mill’s latest song “Don’t Worry” was leaked online and quickly eaten up by fans of the rapper. One line in particular is causing listeners to be upset because he is apparently mocking Kobe’s death in a tragic helicopter crash last year that also claimed his daughter’s life.
In the song, Mill, rapper: ‘This b —- I’m f — in’ always tells me she likes me, but she’s never shown me / Yes, and if I ever have a shortage have, I’ll go out with my helicopter, it’s another Kobe. ‘
The outrage over the song spread online and went to Kobe’s widow, who on Monday took her Instagram story to address Mill directly and express her displeasure with the lyrics.

Mill took to Twitter in the early hours of Tuesday morning to share with his fans that he had released Vanessa privately to the lyric shortly after she shared her message. Although he did not name her by name, he did note that previous tweets that others believed referred to the setback of his lyrics were not actually about it.
“I apologized to her privately earlier today, not the public …” he wrote. “Nothing I say on my page is aimed at an internet virus or the family of a grieving woman! If you care about someone grieving, you need to change the subject!”
