Valorant unveils new agent for episode 2

Riot Games has introduced a new agent to come Brave in addition to the release of Episode 2, which will appear on January 12th. The new character is named Yoru, and it looks like he could represent a big change for the game when he arrives. The character offers players a number of unique abilities to use in the game, which would make the game against Yoru difficult! The character can, thanks to his Gatecrash ability, teleport, hide from opponents with Dimensional Rift, or use Blindside to throw an unstable dimensional fragment that flashes when connected to a surface.

However, the most interesting ability of Yoru is Fakeout. As Yoru, players can create an echo that sounds similar to footsteps. Like Yoru, players can send the footsteps forward, or put them in place to throw opponents down. Audio plays an important role in any FPS title, and this ability will make it much harder for opposing players to know if the sounds they are hearing are legal or not, or part of an extensive abuse!

A movie preview for Episode 2, featuring Yoru, can be found in the trailer below.

Riot Games calls Yoru an ‘Infiltrator Duelist’ and his abilities seem to reflect that. It will be interesting to see how Brave players take the new agent, and how they find creative uses for the abilities of the character! Adding any new character to a game like this makes a huge difference in the playing field, and part of the fun is to see how players work around the challenge.

Released last year, Brave is a team-based tactical FPS. The main mode of the game features players in a five-to-five competition. The game currently offers 13 agents with different abilities to choose from, and the release of Yoru will increase the number one. Tuesday’s release of Brave In episode 2, a new battle pass is also made available that will last until March 1st. Players who missed some of the earlier skins in the game can also visit the Run-It-Back bundle, which contains earlier offers.

Brave is now available on a computer. You can see all our previous coverage of the game here.
