Senior producer Ian “Brighteyz” Fielding and competitive designer Jon “EvrMoar” Walker explained that their goal was to show players what they listened to by providing an “easier to understand and fairer ranking system, more rewarding recognition for your achievements and a way to show who is the best of the best. ‘

Instead of arrows and arrows being the only indication of your progress, Riot is setting up an RR system. The maximum RR players who can win or lose will be 50, while the maximum you can get from a loss will be 30. The minimum RR that you can get on a win or a loss will be 10 be. draw will be 20 based on individual achievements.

To relegate, players will have to lose a game while on RR. Then you are placed on 80 RR in the lower rank. If they promote, players will start at 10 RR in the new rank – and you can expect a mini-celebration when you promote.

VALORANT’s new ranking system will feature the top 500 Radiant players by region. Immortality will make up about one percent of the players in the region and will only be reduced to one rank (as opposed to three separate players).

To make it to the standings, players must play at least 50 matches in the rankings and need at least one competitive match within a period of seven days. Prohibited players will not appear on the leaderboard.
