A Valheim player recreated The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s High Hrothgar Monastery in the open world survival title, and it’s widely impressive.
A Valheim player took the time to recreate Skyrimsay High Hrothgar Monastery in the game, and it’s nothing more than an impressive sight. Although it only appeared on Steam Early Access this month Valheim takes the world by storm already. In less than three weeks of availability on the platform, Iron Gate’s survival title managed to sell three million units.
As an experience of 1 to 10 players, the battle drops fighters in the 10th Norwegian empire of Valheim to resist harsh elements and defeat the mythical creatures that roam. There is more to it than that, as players can also manufacture and build everything from weapons and arrows to fermenters and roads. Valheim players also get more and more creative and put the title’s different systems to the test.
Reddit user McBadWord did above and beyond the pit Valheim’s manufacture and construction of mechanics to good use. Not content with building a house or road system, the player completely recreated the High Hrothgar Shrine – home of the Greybeards in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. In Skyrim, High Hrothgar sits on top of the highest mountain in Tamriel and is accessible via the Seven Thousand Steps that revolve around the mountain. McBadWord seems to have followed the local specifications as closely as possible with their tribute in Valheim. Even the interiors show a remarkable attention to detail.
The dedication and care that fans do in such projects never ceases to amaze. That Valheim promoted this level of creativity less than three weeks after the launch of Early Access, too. It is also noteworthy that the fact that High Hrothgar serves as the basis of such devotion is particularly appropriate Skyrim’s influence on Valheim’s development.
Developer Iron Gate released Valheim earlier this month on Steam Early Access, a status that is expected to be maintained throughout the year. As of now, there is still no word on when exactly the studio will fully issue the cooperative survival title, but players need not worry about Iron Gate’s commitment to the project. Several important updates are planned throughout Valheim’s Early access period, including those added in lunar phases, sandbox mode, a brand new biome and a number of unspecified combat enhancements.
Valheim is now available on PC via Steam Early Access.
