Can we ever really know the nature of the sea? Primal beings hide in its depths. It is powered through outer space. We still do not understand how eels reproduce. In Valheimhowever, it’s a little simpler: the ocean is a trampoline.
On the Valheim subreddit, a player named HotGuuuuu, recently revealed the fruits of several days of labor: A huge, gravity-challenging driveway it took an absurd amount of time to assemble at once with the help of cheats. To name the driveway, HotGuuuuu created a boat at the top and flew to the side of a mountain.
The inevitable outcome of this Godzilla-sized approach to a physics experiment in high school was, of course, a collision with the ocean. And indeed, HotGuuuuu’s vessels finally reached the sea – at a few hundred kilometers per hour. This caused the boat to bounce hundreds of feet in the air, and then tumbled at the end until its journey finally ended in the branches of a forest.
There are still questions about HotGuuuuu’s findings. Did the boat itself jump off the ocean, or did it make contact with the bottom of the shallow surfaces so quickly? appeared to ping the surface of the sea? Where’s the trampoline in the big superhero sandwich of particles and collisions that is the universe? We may never know. All I can say with certainty is that the boat bounced, and it is proof enough that the trampoline exists.
