Valheim developer advises players to back up data to avoid ‘Evil World-Destroyer Bug’

The developer of Valheim, Iron Gate, advises all players to back up their world and characters, as the ‘evil world destroyer bug is still roaming free’. Iron Svensson, CEO of Iron Gate, announced the Twitter to share the warning and let Valheim players know that the developer does not have to reproduce the bug once, which means that it still has an impact on certain players.Svensson notes that it “seems to occur more frequently when you leave the game with ALT + F4, so try using menu-> exit instead.”

He also notes that if PC Valheim players were unaware, worlds and characters would be stored in C: Users Username AppData LocalLow IronGate Valheim .

Valheim was a huge success for Iron Gate, despite having early access, selling more than one million copies in just eight days. As of this writing, Valheim is the third most played game on Steam with a current number of players of 297,783. Valheim also reached a high of 346,170 on February 14th.
