Utah reports 611 more COVID-19 cases, 12 additional deaths Thursday

The Utah Department of Health’s COVID-19 report for Thursday shows an increase of 611 confirmed cases – bringing the state’s total to 373,319 – and another 12 deaths.

So far, 2,230,041 people in Utah have been tested for the disease. The running average of 7 days for positive tests is 558 per day. The 7-day moving average for percentage positivity of “people above people” is 10.0%. The 7-day moving average for percentage positivity of ‘tests above tests’ is 4.8%.

A total of 785,523 vaccines have now been administered in Utah.

203 people in Utah are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.

1,965 people in Utah died from COVID-19. The 12 deaths announced on Thursday are:

  6. Male, aged 65-84, resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at death
  7. Male, over 85 years old, resident of Utah County, resident for long term care
  8. Female, over 85, Weber County resident, long-term care resident
  9. Male, over 85 years old, resident of Utah County, resident for long term care
  10. Female, aged 65-84, resident of Weber County, hospitalized at death
  11. Man, aged 65-84, resident of Box Elder County, hospitalized at death

Seven of the deaths announced Thursday occurred before Feb. 11. Two of the deaths from the February 23 UDOH report have been withdrawn.
