The U.S. Football Association’s soccer federation removed one of its members on Sunday, a day after he delivered a speech at the annual general meeting of the federation against the removal of an anti-kneeling policy.
Seth Jahn, a 38-year-old man from Florida who played for the U.S. Paralympic team for seven people, spoke out against the repeal of policy 604-1, which was instituted in response to U.S. women’s team Megan Rapinoe. knelt in support of Colin Kaepernick.
The USSF board voted in June to repeal the policy, a decision at the online annual meeting confirm Saturday with 71.34% voting in favor of repeal.
‘I’m sure I’m going to pick a few feathers with what I’m about to say, especially given the advice of athletes I work for, but given the evolution of our quote – driven, progressive culture where everything is offensive, those who are willing to take a knee for the national anthem do not care to defend half of our country. “If they do, I’m not too worried about exercising my first right of amendment, ‘Jahn said before the vote. “We’re here to get a different perspective. I also feel compelled to state that I am of mixed race and representative of arguably the most persecuted people in the history of our country, Native Americans. ”
Jahn claimed to have quoted FBI statistics, saying “95% of deaths in black communities come from another black man”.

“I constantly hear how our country is based on the backs of slaves, even though about 8% of the entire population even owns slaves,” he said. ‘Every race in the history of mankind has at one time been enslaved by a different demographic. Blacks are addicted. Spaniards are addicted. Asians who were recently in our country in the freaking 20th century are addicted. Natives are addicted. Whites are addicted. Shoot, I lived in Africa for two and a half years where I could buy people, slaves, between $ 300 and $ 800 per person, per head, depending on their age, health, and physicality.
‘Where were the fighters of social justice and the news journalists there to bring their rumors about these atrocities? And yet, in all of history, only one country has fought to abolish slavery, the United States of America, where nearly 400,000 men have died to fight for the abolition of slavery under the same stars and bars for which our athletes have a take knee. Their sacrifice is infected with each with every knee touching the ground. ”
He suggested that athletes want to do a knee on their own platforms, but not while representing the US on a soccer field.
USSF President Cindy Parlow Cone followed Jahn and demanded recall.
“It’s not about disrespecting the flag or disrespecting the army,” she said. “This is about the athletes’ and our staff’s right to peacefully protest peaceful inequalities and police brutality.”
The Athlete Board said in a statement Sunday that Jahn “violates the policy of harassment of the prohibited conduct, which prohibits racial or other harassment on the basis of a person’s protected status (race), including any oral act in which race is used or implied in a manner that a will make reasonable person uncomfortable. The athlete council does not tolerate this type of language and finds it incompatible with membership in the council. Although the council understands that each person has the right to his or her own opinion, there are certain opinions that go beyond what is appropriate or acceptable. ”
The council said it “wanted to be unequivocal in condemning the statements Jahn made yesterday”.
