US Congressman Announces Positive Covid-19 Test Results 4 Hours After Voting

About 253,145 new cases of Covid-19 and a record number of 3,865 new virus-related deaths were recorded in the United States on Wednesday, according to Johns Hopkins University.

At the end of the day Wednesday, there were at least 21,290,340 cases of coronavirus in the U.S., and at least 361,123 people who contracted the virus were killed.

The total includes cases from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and other U.S. territories, as well as cases that have been repatriated.

Vaccine numbers: At least 17,288,950 vaccine doses have been distributed across the country. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, at least 5,306,797 shots were fired.
