UPMC unveils new COVID-19 vaccine registration website – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Health experts are constantly urging eligible people to be vaccinated against COVID-19. And now, here in Pittsburgh, there’s a new tool you can use when it’s your turn.

UPMC has created a website where you can register for the COVID-19 vaccine if you fall under Phase 1-A guidelines of Pennsylvania.

Keep in mind that registration does not mean that you get the vaccine immediately, but you do shall placed on a waiting list and UPMC will contact you about the appointment of an appointment when a vaccine is available.

You do not You must be a UPMC insured member to be put on the waiting list and receive a vaccine by UPMC.

UPMC reiterates that the vaccine supply of the state and federal government is still limited and encourages the public to be patient.

Meanwhile, UPMC emphasizes that it wants to vaccinate so many people once the health system receives more doses.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki addressed the country Sunday morning about the limited supply of vaccines.

“We expect to catch up quickly this week, fill in the gaps, make sure they are to communities and also meet our deadlines and our timing of the doses that should disappear next week,” said Psaki.
