Updating Windows 10 seems to cause a blue screen of death when you press it

The March 10 update of Windows (Windows 10 KB5000802) shows that the blue screen appears for some users. A Reddit thread and a report from Windows Latest share several stories of people who have been experiencing issues since installing the latest Windows 10 update. The problem seems to occur when trying to print something, although it can only affect certain printing situations.

“This update appears to cause blue screens when you press Kyocera Universal Print Drivers. There have been at least 20 confirmed instances from 4 different clients and it’s just one hour into the day,” a person told Windows Latest said.

The Reddit message and the subsequent thread also mention Kyocera printers. According to the report on Reddit, the update to a newer Kyocera driver does not work.

In addition to reports of problems with Kyocera printers, people have also seen the blue screen of death when using Ricoh, Zebra and other types of printers.

As is the case with many issues with Windows 10, we do not yet know the extent of this issue.

When the problem does occur, it can be done through a simple everyday task, and push anything. People encountered the problem when trying to print from Notepad, Office and other applications. Computers do not seem to see the blue screen of death unless they try to print to one of the printers involved.

Many people in the Reddit thread have circumvented the issue by removing the Windows 10 KB5000802 update. It can solve this particular problem, but the update also contains several important solutions and security updates. Hopefully Microsoft can get to the end of the matter quickly to rectify the situation.
