Frogwares has since expanded its position, testifying that while a legal battle over whether Nacon has the rights to publish The Sinking City was pending in French courts, Nacon bought a copy of the Gamesplanet game, certain elements such as splash screens and logos have changed. to make it look like the game was licensed to Nacon, and reloaded it as an official version to Steam.

The Sinking City was removed from several store windows for the first time in August 2020, while Frogwares said at the time that the publisher had broken its contract with the developer, stopped paying payments and tried to involve Frogwares in the versions of the games. obscured. it is licensed to distribute.
