Unveils The Day Before Devs On New Gameplay And Make A Unique Survival Experience

As part of IGN Fan Fest 2021, the developers behind the upcoming survival action game The Day Before, Fntastic, have debuted a brand new look at the cruel, immersive world that awaits players. The new game, which you can see below, offers a quick a piece of life and action in the world of The Day Before, including the fact that not every character you meet has to be an enemy.

“We at Fntastic believe that during a real post-apocalypse, there will be many wonderful people who help others, no matter what, but there will inevitably be those who will not hesitate to use violence. “in the game trailer,” Eduard and Aiden Gotovtsev told IGN in an email.

Check out an exclusive new trailer:And while the look at The Day Before so far has included a lot of tense action, there will be safe places, namely the Woodberry Survivor Colony, where players can ‘communicate with other players, join groups, chat with some residents,’ We have an idea to create different events within the colony during the holidays so that the players get closer to each other and spend time vacationing together. ‘As the new trailer suggests, you’ll also be able to find a short time in a more hostile area to camp, sleep, cook and generally relax before retreating to a cruel world.

As for the actual base building itself, the developers explained that the classic, resource-based ‘building a hut out of rocks and sticks’ is not so much what inspires them as something more similar to Nintendo’s Animal Crossing.

“In The Day Before, we have the concept of a base that is different from other MMO survival games. As a tip – we really like the concept in that cute game where there is a greedy raccoon boss,” the Gotovtsev said. .

The new part of the game is not a breather for the player, but after a quick walk outside, they quickly start a firefight. But instead of any HUD indicators leading the player to fight, they should of course consider the world around them, and pay close attention to sound and other environmental cues.

“We pay a lot of attention to the sounds in the game to make the game world look realistic. Based on this, we have forcibly abandoned HUD indicators, and we are concentrating on high quality surround sound, which is an important part of the credibility and atmosphere of the world, ”the developers explained.

As the fight continues, the power play ends in a brutal removal, a shot from close to the face after the player knocks down their opponent. Although the developers note that finishes are not necessarily new to gaming, they hope it will give a unique twist to the MMO genre for survival.

“After the removal, the game has several choices: the use of different types of finishes, depending on the weapon, the healing and binding of another player. And especially creative players can come up with different methods: they can lay down another player and tie down player, and then attract the attention of a horde of zombies, who would like to eat [on the character], and so on, ”they explained.

As for the game’s latest recording of a mysterious, darkened hall and a doorway, the developers teased that places like this would be ‘like a cold show after a boiling hot day’. And really, a lot of what Fntastic intends to do is hope to bring something fresh and unique into the genre.

‘It’s no secret [moost survival MMO’s] are all built on the sandbox model as you set goals for yourself and wander around in the desert world. In The Day Before, we rediscovered everything, from the goals in the game to the way we approach the quality of the game mechanics, ‘the developers noted.
