A great Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter voice is still dominated by one unlikely franchise for video games, with several characters being the most popular.
It seems like any character these days can join the cast of Smash Bros., and Ultimate has brought the most newcomers from third-party titles to the list.
Nintendo’s flagship fighter jet is from many third parties, such as Persona’s Joker, Minecraft Steve, Cloud, Sonic, Solid Snake, and more limited to their own IPs. Clearly Nintendo really meant it when they made Ultimate’s slogan “everyone is here”.
Now a massive poll for fans has been created where players can vote on who they want to see coming as DLC next. Although the content of Fighters Pass Volume 2 has already been decided, Nintendo may consider these votes in the event of a third pass.

Who will be the next character with a Smash Invitation?
The “Global Smash Roster” is a very organized and user-friendly website that allows users to vote on potential DLC fighters. They are all presented in a way that mimics the character screen of Smash, making it look super unique.
That being said, one character pulled everyone far ahead, with nearly 1,000 votes. The character is Team Fortress 2’s Heavy.
Valve’s Team Fortress 2 remains an iconic shooter with an ever-active player base today, and fans seem to really think it deserves a place in Smash history by giving Heavy more than 3,000 votes.

Heavy is miles before Crash Bandicoot.
For that context, Crash Bandicoot sits in second place with just over 2,000, firmly behind the TF2 star. Waluigi and Rayman are head over heels for third and fourth place with about 20 votes separating the two.
While this alone is interesting, even more TF2 characters make the top 12 in votes, as Scout and Soldier each received more than 1,200 votes. This allows the two popular candidates like Geno, Master Chief, Tails and Sora to knock out.
Could that mean TF2 could come to Smash in a third Fighters Pass? Although unlikely, stranger things happened, such as Piranha Plant becoming a playable warrior.

Sora has so far had less than 1,000 votes.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Smash, as the next DLC fighter is likely to be announced in March. Some theories have suggested that Crash Bandicoot will take part in the fight, but Nintendo has not yet confirmed these rumors.
Either way, hopefully all the top candidates will get some sort of Smash representation in the near future.
