Universal Orlando picks up capacity within minutes of opening

ORLANDO, Florida (KABC) – Universal Orlando Resort tweeted that it hit its capacity just ten minutes after it opened Wednesday, as well as Tuesday.

Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure reached their capacity just after 8 a.m. and stopped allowing new guests. The parks also have a capacity shortly after they opened Tuesday. Guests were asked to check in early before leaving for the parks.

Health officials keep crowds at COVID-19.

They say Florida has a positive percentage of more than 26%.

This means that more than one in four coronavirus tests is positive.

But public health experts say there is no evidence that COVID-19 outbreaks have been linked to any theme parks.

The resort tweeted that it had started admitting new guests again in the early afternoon.
