Universal Studios Hollywood is fast continuing to expand their Super Nintendo World expansion. Last month we gave an update on the green mountains that are starting to take shape in the lower part of Universal Studios. Now we have a new update that shows more green mountains and that looks like the structure of Bowser Castle, which is the entrance to the Mario Kart ride! Let’s see!

Universal Studios Hollywood is currently closed due to pandemic regulations in the state of California. At the moment you can visit CityWalk at USH for a convenient food (which can not be used on the property) and a fun atmosphere.

Thanks to the opening of Universal CityWalk, some theme park enthusiasts and Universal fans were able to get incredible photos and videos of the ongoing construction of Super Nintendo World on the lower terrain. Here is a video of Theme Park Obsessed on Youtube showing the new green mountains that have been added and the structure of the Bowser Castle that is beautifully shaped!
The Super Nintendo World recordings start at 7 minutes, but the whole video is worth watching if you like Universal Studios Hollywood!
No word from Universal about the expansion of the Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Hollywood. However, if I compare the construction progress with the sister Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios in Japan, I would speculate that the project would have about a year left before it would have its grand opening.
This expansion will be a major attraction for Universal Studios Hollywood as they are finally reopened to the public. We have no indication of when Universal Studios Hollywood will open the theme park, but hopefully we will see it reopen in 2021 and also get an opening date for Super Nintendo World.
