The commissioner of the Cicies, Ronalth Ochaeta, said he had given 25 assistants to the Fiscalia, among them 12 “notices of possible corruption allegations in five city cards”.

The announcement of the financial support is due to the same day that President Salvador Bukele rejected the humanitarian organization’s call for the Legislative Assembly to approve a move by the Independent Civic Council.

“Only the logos of the NGOs that are behind this ‘proposal’ and see the ‘media’ that are being published, are sure to be the only ones we can make,” the mandate posted on its Twitter account.

SIN CONFIRM ENCUENTRO CON BUKELE

The Governor salvador and the United States Embassy have not confirmed whether Zuniga will meet with President Bukele or the Executive Officers.

In a press conference in Washington, the spokesman of the EE.UU State Department, Ned Price, stated that Zúñiga would meet with Bukele or with some other member of the Gobierno Salvadoran.

“We do not have any information about what to do, but we will also be listening to it,” said Price, who was quoted as saying by Efe.

The portavoz explained that, in “general terms”, Zúñiga is in Central America to deal with the problems that provoke migration to the north, such as insecurity, the lack of economic opportunities and corruption.

Recognition that “all” the Governors of the Northern Triangle, including the Salvadoran, have a “paper” that can improve the conditions in their lands; but record that part of Washington’s strategy is to collaborate with civil society and governmental organizations.

“We have a strong relationship with El Salvador and its people and people are working hard to find our salvaged allies to get rid of the challenges in the region,” Price added.

The complete agenda of Zúñiga in El Salvador is discussed, but it is hoped that there will be private meetings with social organizations and representatives of the press. EFE
