The Embassy of the United States of America, informs that thanks to the donation of the North American Government, the Judicial Power of the Dominican Republic is carrying out a transformation of its technological platform, using a traditional legacy system for electronic communication.
According to a statement, the US $ 1,345,000 valued system will allow the Supreme Court to digitize, maintain and share electronic and secure forms, proofs and archives of various cases, according to its needs.
“Technology systems come with 100 TB of digital storage, capacity for response and disaster recovery. Asimismo, the support includes services for the installation, configuration of the equipment and the capacity of the staff that will be loaded. This effort was made by the Governor of the United States, through the International Office of Anti-Criminal Justice and Procuration of Justice (INL for its Seals in English), with the finalization of contributing to the advancement of a transparent, transparent judicial system in el país ”, said the communication.
The teams managed by INL for the Supreme Court of Justice are composed of a primary data matrix maintenance system, a backup (backup) system, server control, interconnection commuters and replication server; and for secondary systems oriented to the control and administration of new hybrids, servers, disaster recovery mats and interconnection controls.
The technological systems will be installed at the Center for the Access to Roads, NAP of the Caribbean, located in Santo Domingo. The NAP serves as a repository of equipment and data, salvaging the integrity of the assets, which access to the information is by only authorized personnel of the SCJ.
The project initiated in Santo Domingo in its first phase and at the national level, exemplifies a rigorous virtual capacity that will be located in a place of one to five days, a cargo of an official and directed instructor, in a simultaneous manner, a 10 members of the technology staff of the courts. The training includes official certifications of the maneuver of all the range of servers that exemplify the system.
