UK will not welcome Prince Harry home: Brexit leader Nigel Farage

At least one Brit does not think Prince Harry should rush home for the funeral of his beloved grandfather.

Brexit leader Nigel Farage pulled up his welcoming mat in a tweet that Harry and wife Meghan Markle slammed for their stern statement on the death of Prince Philip on Friday at the age of 99.

“For a couple doing public emotions as a career, this third person and one sentence statement show their contempt for this great man and the monarchy,” Farage tweeted Friday.

“The British public will not welcome Harry and Meghan back, not even for the funeral,” he added.

Buckingham Palace confirmed on Saturday that Prince Harry, 36, will indeed be going home for the first time in a little over a year to attend Prince Philip’s funeral – and that Markle will not be with him.

Pregnant Markle, 39, who is due to give birth to the couple’s daughter this summer, will stay at home in California on the advice of her doctor – although she flew to New York in February for a baby shower while she was seven months pregnant with the boy Archie 2019.
