UK and Ireland are now available to download

The next major update of Microsoft Flight Simulator has landed, making several major changes in the UK and Ireland. World Update 3 adds new airports, more than 70 personal landmarks, and features enhanced 3D photogrammetry for some of England’s cities.
Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator, Jorg Neumann, says that World Update 3: UK and Ireland includes high-resolution 3D photogrammetry for five cities in England, including Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, London and Oxford. There are also five new handmade airports (Barra, Liverpool, Land’s End, Manchester-Barton and Out Skerries), visual improvements to another 85 airports, and much of the UK has been updated with better digital altitude.

Asobo Studio has been working hard and has added over 70 custom places of interest in the UK. The trailer above shows numerous extremely detailed, iconic landmarks such as Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, Spinnaker Tower, Buckingham Palace, and many more. The update also adds some activities, including an iconic flight in the Northern Islands, and two landing challenges: one northward on the Shetland Island group and one in the South East of England.
