UFC President Dana White comments on Gina Carano’s dismissal of ‘The Mandalorian’

UFC president Dana White has spoken out about former MMA fighter Gina Carano’s firing on ‘The Mandalorian’.

Carano previously fought in Strikeforce and EliteXC with a winning record before retiring in 2009. She was recently fired after two seasons in the “Star Wars” series after reports she made on social media caused the backlash from followers.

According to the New York Post, White was asked about Carano’s current situation on Saturday at UFC 258, where he explained that he believed she was merely making a mistake with her online presence.

“Leave her alone. We’re making mistakes, we’re all making mistakes,” White said. “For everyone to go in with her … I like how Ariel Helwani made everything about him, so nd ——.”

“As a Jewish person and as a human being, it just doesn’t sit well,” he says in the video he shared on Instagram. “And I wish she would never have posted it. And honestly, I wish someone had talked to her about her social media posts over the past year. Some of them were not even political. Just generally they feel for “I’m sorry she followed this path.”

Carano played Cara Dune in seven episodes of ‘The Mandalorian’ during the first two seasons in 2019 and 2020. She’s reportedly been at the center of the upcoming ‘Mandalorian’ spin-off ‘Rangers of the New Republic’ at Disney +, but Disney has not announced the cast for the show.

Carano, meanwhile, has already moved on to another project. The actress has teamed up with The Daily Wire for a new film project that she says has been dreaming of developing and producing for some time.

“The Daily Wire is helping to make one of my dreams come true – to make and produce my own film,” the star said in a statement to Deadline. “I called and my prayer was heard. I send a direct message of hope to all who live in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian crowd. I have just started using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope “It inspires others to do the same. They can not cancel us if we do not allow them.”
