UFC legend BJ Penn asks thriller for Jake Paul fight, predicts KO

After Jake Paul Ben Askren finished in the first round at the Triller Fight Club, the verdicts flooded in.

It ranges from celebrities to former fighters, and the target on Paul’s back was clear. However, the most notable MMA name that their desire to face Paul was UFC Hall of Famer BJ Penn.

“Hey @triller send me a contract and I’ll be happy to knock this f * cker out in one round,” Penn tweeted.

Penn, 42, has not fought in mixed martial arts since May 2019. He was released from the UFC after a video of him fighting street fights later that year. In the video, Penn was snatched and dropped by another man. However, a second video shows him being offended when he bumps the man to the ground. Penn left the promotion on a seven-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Paul has won all three of his boxing fights against non-boxing celebrities. First, he defeated YouTuber Ali Eson Gib through the first round of TKO. In his second outing, Paul planted former NBA star Nate Robinson in the second round. The brutal knockout blow went viral.

Paul’s TKO from Askren was the fastest finish of his professional boxing career on Saturday. It only took Paul 1:59.

In 2012, legendary boxing coach Freddie Roach considered Penn one of the best boxers in mixed martial arts. In 32 professional MMA fights, Penn has won seven by knockout or TKO. He has never boxed professionally.
