This time, former lightweight Michael Chiesa looks set to settle for £ 170 against veteran Neil Magny, while The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): “Brazil” winner Warlley Alves tries to put a rough loss behind him against the fast-paced rising costs of Mounir Lazzez. UFC Fight Island 8 also features some intriguing flyweight fights that pose Viviane Araujo and Tyson Nam against Roxanne Modafferi and Matt Schnell, respectively.

What went wrong UFC Fight Island 7?
Man, it’s very good to name a distress correctly and then see how things go up in smoke when a heavy favorite falls into the wall. Joaquin Buckley’s knockout loss (see highlights) left us behind, although a combination of good work from Ramazan Emeev and questionable judgment against Carlos Felipe limited the losses.

Thoughts: On a sub-map full of unknown quantities, Manon Fiorot stands out as a bargain. ‘The Beast’ actually opened as an underdog, which would have been an excellent investment, but she’s still worth your money. Her striking out-class out of Victoria Leonardo’s and she’s a pretty tough opponent, combining with her effective footwork to take Leonardo’s ground game off the table.
She is the anchor for this occasion.
Tom Breese is definitely worth your time too. He is a much better boxer than Omari Akhmedov and seems to be a sufficiently capable wrestler to prevent “Wolverine” from doing his usual “blanket for two rounds and surviving the third” desperately. While it’s too much mercury to recommend a large investment, a spot on “The Octopus” makes sense.

Thoughts: This is the third time Tyson Nam and Matt Schnell have been booked to fight, but luckily the bookies are not up to par yet. Between his crushing power, excellent submissive defense and the recent willingness to let go of his hands, Nam is perfectly equipped to defeat Schnell, who has been violently knocked out three times in the Octagon.
If you want a popular favorite that will not let you down, go with Viviane Araujo. The Brazilian’s top defensive defense and dangerous, movement-heavy striking style worked against Montana De La Rosa last time out, and Modafferi has the same strengths and weaknesses. On top of that, if you are superstitious, Modafferi has alternated losses and victories since 2017 and is a victory, so the universe is on ‘Vivi’s’ side.
