UFC 259 video: Trevin Jones begins the preliminary round with a capital letter to flatten Mario Bautista

They say you do not get a second chance to make a first impression, but technically, Trevin Jones achieved the feat with his appearance at UFC 259.

After accepting and winning his debut in a spectacular manner in one of the biggest comebacks in recent UFC history, Jones’ victory was taken away after he tested positive for marijuana and turned the victory into a non-match.

With a full training camp this time around, Jones made the most of his second appearance by hitting Mario Bautista with a nasty capital letter to return to the winning column as the first fight of the night from Las Vegas. The strike was only 40 seconds into the second round, as Jones can now claim his first UFC victory for a second time.

“It was very frustrating,” Jones admitted when asked about his first win, which turned into a non-match. “It just motivated me more. I had to deal with this struggle as if it were my debut again. I do not lose this battle. Everything was just on point for this fight and I was here to stay. ”

While having to fight through serious adversity during his debut, Jones showed throughout the opening round this time as he battled Bautista in the result and used a series of leg kicks to finally set up his beats.

At the start of the second round, Jones’ earlier work paid off when he grabbed a fist and then launched the top end, hitting Bautista’s head back and causing him to crash onto the canvas. Jones followed up with a few more hammer fists to ensure the fight was halted as he celebrated his victory.

With two appearances on film to begin his UFC career, it looks like Jones is a prospect to watch, and chances are he will get a higher place on his next card after hitting a second knockout blow .
