The president of the Peruvian Society of Intensive Medicine, Jesús Valverde, signaled that Monday the Units of the Intensive Care Unit (UCI) in the country had collapsed due to the increase in coronavirus severe cases (COVID-19).

‘Today there are hospitalization rooms, which are the reserve of hospitals, which are empty. What we see is that the patient’s step is taken directly from his home to the third level hospitals. At the moment we can say that the UCI at the national level is collapsing, our crime is taking place in extended areas of the UCI ”, afirmó.
