Uber hides ad with leftist activist accused of rioting in Capitol

An Uber ad featuring left-wing activist John Sullivan, who was arrested on federal charges Thursday in connection with the Capitol riot last week, has been hidden on the equestrian YouTube channel.

Sullivan was a competitive speed skater who aspired to compete in the 2018 Olympics. He appears in a 2016 ad for Uber, which highlights how he worked as a manager to earn cash around his tight full-time training schedule.

The ad was visible, according to an archived version of the site, as recently as January 11th. The video in the link is now private.

Uber did not immediately respond to a request from Fox News for comment.

But there’s still an article from Friday afternoon that tells how management for the company fits a perfect fit to its schedule on Uber’s blog.

“Before becoming an Uber partner, Sullivan did strange work to put an end to it: ‘I was a waiter, a bus driver, a dishwasher and worked in a call center,'” the report reads.

“When Sullivan found out about Uber, it seemed to fit perfectly. Once he turned 21, he signed up to drive. After just two months, Sullivan was able to leave the call center.”

Sullivan, a left-wing activist, initially told Fox News he had entered the Capitol to record videos and document what he saw.

He now faces federal charges of alleged intentional intrusion or residence in any restricted building or site without lawful authority, violent trespassing and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, and interference with law enforcement officers involved in the lawful performance of their official duties. which took place before and during the commission of civil disorder.

In the video he handed over to the FBI and shared on his social media accounts, he can allegedly be heard protesting and participating in the riot, according to a criminal charge.

Inside the building, he told rioters that “we should burn these s —” and “this is our house m ————,” according to a statement signed by the FBI’s special agent Matthew Foulger.

He was due to appear in court on Friday afternoon.

Sullivan was not the only athlete with Olympic ties to be spotted in the Capitol.

Gold medal swimmer Klete Keller has been arrested in connection with the riot after he allegedly appeared on video with his Team USA jacket in the Capitol Rotunda.
