Two women in Florida had an unusual strategy for trying to get the coronavirus vaccine: they “dressed grandmothers,” complete with hoods, gloves, and goggles. And the giants apparently worked – at least for the first shot.
According to a report by the New York TimesOn Wednesday, the unnamed couple donned the costumes and attempted to get the second dose of vaccine at the vaccination site set up at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, and presented them with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) tickets. . already received the first dose.
The ridiculous actions of women may have attracted more attention this week than during their first attempt earlier this winter. The outfits apparently included goggles, a hood and gloves – a bit odd in the mild weather in Central Florida, which was in the 60s on Wednesday.
“Maybe it was the hood they gave away,” he said. Patricia Mazzei, the Times‘Bureau Chief of Miami.

Dr. Raul Pino, the Orange County Health Administrator told reporters that the women were actually 34 and 44, not the minimum age of 65 or older, and that they were turned away when their birth dates did not match what they claimed.
“I do not know how they escaped the first time,” Pino said. He also mentioned one man who tried to pretend to be his father, with the same name but a date of birth that is eligible for the vaccine.

The police issued ominous warnings to the faux grandmothers and they were sent on their way without criminal charges but also without getting the second chance.

Look, I do not want to make light of this, because two real ‘grandmas’ were on the verge of these two, and the softest part of my house is for grandmas. BUT, really, I need to see some pictures of these two.
