Two teenage boys shoot in car in southwest Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. Police are investigating a shooting that took place in Southwest Miami-Dade County.

According to authorities, police responded in the area of ​​US-1 and Southwest 137th Avenue following a Shot Spotter Alert.

The video obtained by Local 10 News showed the wild shooting on the busy US-1.

In the video, the passenger doors of an SUV open when the first shots are fired. The bullets are seen falling on a white BMW sedan.

More shots are fired, the doors of the sedan open and the SUV drives.

Witnesses on the road were stunned, and one drove away in panic and jumped a curb.

Employees at the nearby Hidalgos Cafe said the driver of the vehicle went to their restaurant to ask for help.

I actually had customers here and a lady ran in and she explained what was happening and to call 9-1-1, ‘Daysi Resendiz said.

Miami-Dade police said the chaos unfolded just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

According to authorities, the victims, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, were rushed to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

There was still no word on the rude shooters who opened fire in traffic in a busy street and endangered many innocent commuters.

“I was just scared of the people who were there,” Resendiz said.
