The Chicago Bears signed veteran Andy Dalton to a $ 10 million one-year free agency deal, but quarterbacks are still a major topic around the team.
The rumors about Russell Wilson were the loudest, and now there’s another quarterback preparing for the trade market. After the Carolina Panthers traded for Sam Darnold, Teddy Bridgewater leaves ripe for the take. And for many people, the Bears’ landing site was the easiest assumption.
Obviously, a popular talking point was the possibility that Bridgewater could trade in Chicago, which the fans shared. Some believe Bridgewater would be an immediate upgrade from Dalton or Nick Foles. Others believe Bridgewater is a warning, especially for someone who allegedly turned down an offer from the Bears last season because he did not want to compete with Mitchell Trubisky.
My one takeaway from trading in Darnold is that it further confirms that Teddy Bridgewater just isn’t the answer. I know Foles did not eliminate, but thank God the Bears did not find him.

I will never understand Bear fans with Teddy Bridgewater.
If a team moves to ONE SEASON of yours, it means they do not think you are very good.
They not only went further but also opted with various concepts to get another option to replace him.

Looking back, I wonder if the Bears had to move to Bridgewater instead of Dalton.
I mean, in hindsight, a move would be better for almost any other quarterback.

If the Bears were smart, they would trade Dalton and immediately upgrade to Bridgewater. They both have health issues, but Teddy has so much more upside down and makes the offense better than Dalton based on several factors. Make the trade !!!!!!!!! @ChicagoBears

Not me. I knew Bridgewater, Foles, Cam, etc. Not the answer was last season, and I’m here to tell you all that Dalton is not the answer either. So do not get memory loss and start believing that he is good for the #Put away next season because it’s not going to happen. https://t.co/WBzKh0qqYW

Teddy Bridgewater is better than QB than Denver, Bears or Patriots. # NFL

Teddy Bridgewater is also not an answer at all in front of Bears fans.
He is a below average QB with a below average arm.

So is teddy Bridgewater available now? I’ll take him on the Bears !!

I would not have hoped that the Bears would catch Bridgewater, would I?

Carolina paid $ 45 million to Teddy Bridgewater, and has now swapped three picks for a QB played by Joe Flacco. Not really sure what the plan is there, but investing so much in QB for mediocrity is Bears-esque.

Foles, Dalton and Darnold…. i would rather have Bridgewater and Mond on the Bears.

I understand this Teddy Bridgewater is not good, but the Saints had to try to keep him or the Bears made him pay too much (sorry, fans of the zeal, they are just one thing they can achieve)

I wish the Bears would have signed Teddy Bridgewater instead of Andy Dalton.
– Jack Russell (@JolietJack) 5 April 2021
Does that mean we can add Bridgewater to the Bears QB trials? 🤷🏾♂️

Bears should at least try to get Bridgewater, but it would be too smart
– Genl J (@SaytheNano) 5 April 2021
Teddy Bridgewater to the Bears for 6th place
– another man (@MarkusTaffy) 5 April 2021
Remember when Bridgewater did not sign with the Bears because ‘he did not want a competition with Trubisky’
